The Armies. Learn about the two armies that collided at Vicksburg. Short animated movies explain the opposing armies: their leaders, their strength in men and cannons, and their chain of command. Are you confused about what an infantry corps is? Don't worry. This section shows you how a Civil War army was organized and provides definitions for all the different components.

The Quiz. So you think you know a lot about the Civil War? Now you can prove it. The TravelBrains Civil War Trivia Game lets you test you brain power against another challenger or play solo. Do you know who wrote the Battle Hymn of the Republic?

The Weapons & Tactics. Three animated movies give you a better understanding of the infantry, cavalry and artillery branches of the military and the vital roles they played. An additional "Civil War Tactics Primer" gives you an excellent overview of the battlefield tactics used by the generals on both sides of the Mason Dixon Line. Finally, a weapons module filled with 3D models of Civil War weaponry provides an excellent preview of the tools of destruction used by the soldiers in America's bloodiest conflict.
